Probaby my all time favourite se

Probably my all time favourite set. Only 40 cards - but totally classic. Some cards were so rare - we just never saw them. John Reilly, no 16 and Jack Gardner, no 29 were two really rare cards. Me and my brother NEVER saw Jack Gardner, except once at school. Once! About ten years ago, I put an ad in the local paper for old footy cards. A lady from Leopold got in touch and said she had a stack of them put away in in a cupboard. She'd confiscated them from her son and forgotten about them. I asked her to describe one. "Well, I'm holding a hawthorn card, his name is Jack Gardner. There's about 6 of that particular card." I nearly dropped the phone in excitement. About half an hour later I had bought the lot. I remember lining up the 6 Jack Gardner's on the bonnet of my car - still parked in her driveway. There were 12 club emblem cards. Here's a picture of the Fitzroy one - Fitzroy are now the Brisbane Lions.
