This was the first year of Scanlens footy cards. They are SO rare. Check out e-bay some time and do a search for 1963 Scanlens. Some sell for over $1 000!! There were only 18 cards in the set. Scanlens weren't really sure what the response would be like, so they limited distribution to the Western Suburbs in Melbourne. There's a rumour that someone hid a massive batch of 63s in a drawer at a railway station. They stayed there, untouched for over 30 years. What a discovery for the person who found them!
